Blake and Granny Longlegs

So here it is, in all its colored glory! I was told I could include it so I will add the words later for it, but since bedtime is fast approaching, I'm gonna try to do a fast bit of bio for him.

Blake is a bit shy and keeps mostly to himself, mainly because he's usually preoccupied by some project or other and gets embarrassed when he accidentally ignores people. But if, for some odd reason he likes you, you will find that he is friendly and rather talkative. His mannerisms are a bit traditional; he's always looking for the leader or elder in a situation and he treats them accordingly. He abhors being rude, unless the victim of his rudeness has done something to lose his respect. Everyone is granted a base level of respect from him, but once it's gone, it's gone. He is rather smart and talented with his hands; he's been combining these skills since a young age to build constructs, machines, all manner of things.

His mother was a master in creating and maintaining artificial life forms, specifically those designed to house or be 'powered' by spirits and demons. He learned quite a bit from her, though his primary desire was in enhancing his own body. Though outwardly he appears just fine, he is prone to fits of weakness and pain. Even so, he had never been successful in creating anything of worth. His first attempt, an arachnid type, never moved, even though he was sure he'd gotten everything right; the demon power cell was in place, everything was properly connected...but it refused to move. He had given up on the project when one day he found it (technically her) rustling his blankets trying to wake him up. He tried to figure out how this had happened but Granny was having none of his attempts to open her up. He went looking for his mother to get her opinion and found a note telling him that she had to leave, where he had to go now, with a short bit at the end explaining that she had fixed his toy for him so that Granny could protect him in her absence. He's been looking for her ever since.

Blake knows that he is a half demon, though it was his mother who told him this. A part of him, because he loves his mother deeply and thinks her heart should respond in kind, has begun to believe that he is one of her creations, and not her actual son. He feels it tidies up the problems of his weak and unstable body despite being a half demon, and explains why it was so apparently easy for her to abandon him. But even if this is true, he still views his life and body as a gift that she gave him, and as thus, hurting him physically is one of the few ways to really make him angry. The other way would be to mess with Granny, who he became quite attached to in the months and years follow his abandonment.

Oh, and the thing on his left eye is a device that allows him to see extremely minute details and even long distances, and is programmed to help him in utilizing his abilities offensively (basically a targeting computer).

Granny Longlegs is a completely sentient artificial demonic vessel shaped like a harvestman arachnid (commonly known granddaddy longlegs) possessed by some spirit that seems to have Blake's best interests at heart. She can't talk, but communicates by clicks, gestures, and dancing. In all things, Blake is her priority (she even makes his clothes, though he doesn't like it...he wears them anyway). Her shapeshifting abilities allow her the versatility to serve many of his needs (including dramatic means of escape!). She can grow to a size large enough to carry him or even eat him (to store him safely inside her carapace). Her innards have a stabilizing and healing affect on the boy. It's unknown if it works for anyone else. When not following Blake around like a puppy, Granny sometimes hangs out on his back and pretends to be a pack. She can also assume the shape of an umbrella (in case of rain ). Her combat prowess is rather high but Blake cherishes her so much that he doesn't like to see her fight, to protect him or otherwise.

Perhaps I will explain his abilities later, but I think this is enough for now.
