Do you ever wake up from a nightmare?
Can't go back to sleep, and it's unfair?
Well guess what, that's me every night.
Feeling like it might be my very last fight.
I try to live as life carries me
never understood why you had to flee.
The trauma is so real,
cause pain is all I feel.
I guess I walked away a little too fast
cause it all came back with the ghosts of my past.
Yeah Dad when you left, that very day
it was like she couldn't love me anymore and that was her way.
She still claimed she loved me,
yet, still everyday was a catastrophe.
